Looking for a job that’s flexible, professional, and gets you outside? Pool Scouts of South Jersey is hiring Pool Technicians for a seasonal position, with part-time or full-time availability.
This role is primarily focused on pool cleaning and maintenance. Technicians who have experience with minor pool repairs may also be assigned additional repair jobs as needed.

Schedule & Pay

Seasonal position (pool season runs approximately April–October)

Part-time or full-time hours available
- Weekday schedule, no nights

Starting pay: $19/hour, with higher rates available based on experience
The Position
As a Pool Technician, you’ll handle routine pool cleaning and maintenance. Technicians who are qualified to perform minor pool repairs may be scheduled for additional repair work and troubleshooting assignments.
Basic plumbing knowledge is preferred for technicians performing repair work, but is not required for the general pool cleaning role.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine pool cleaning and maintenance
- Skim debris, vacuum pools, and brush tile/waterlines
- Empty skimmer and pump baskets
- Backwash filters and check water levels
- Test and balance pool water chemistry (training provided)
- Inspect pool equipment and report issues
- Perform minor pool repairs if qualified
- Assist with basic plumbing-related adjustments when applicable
- Safely operate a company vehicle
- Document work and communicate updates using mobile apps
- Lift and carry equipment (up to ~50 lbs)
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Other duties as assigned

- Willing and able to drive a company vehicle
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- Pool cleaning or maintenance experience preferred (training provided)

Minor pool repair experience is a plus, not required

Basic plumbing experience preferred for repair assignments
- Valid driver’s license without restrictions
- Ability to pass a nationwide background check
- Comfortable working outdoors in summer conditions
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Proficient with smartphones, email, and messaging apps
